Set in a private game reserve in the heart of the beautiful Waterberg Plateau, an easy 3 hour drive north of Johannesburg, Jembisa offers the ideal backdrop for any couple. This idyllic safari lodge has only five luxurious en-suite bedrooms and is built in harmony with its surroundings and decorated with natural materials in an Afro-colonial style making it a perfect venue for an intimate wedding and reception.
An exclusive booking policy ensures that the couple and their guests have the entire place to themselves providing a perfect private safari wedding venue.
The wedding vows will be made on the spectacular wooden deck overlooking the private reserve - a beautiful and unspoilt wilderness of rivers, cliffs, gorges, hills and plains. A delicious three-course meal prepared using local, fresh ingredients including those from Jembisa's own organic kitchen garden and champagne will be served on tables decorated with African seeds and flowers. And what's more, the bride and groom will be treated to a bunch of beautiful flowers, a bottle of chilled champagne, and a bowl of succulent fruit as well as two full body aromatherapy massages when they book their wedding at Jembisa.
Guests can also enjoy a variety of activities at Jembisa's private game reserve including game drives in open 4x4 Landrover, guided bush walks or sundowners in magnificent settings.
Local excursions include elephant-back safaris, horse riding, Big 5 reserves and visits to local African art and curio shops.
