I am not a retail bakery. I am a one woman show with occasional help during delivery. The cakes that I provide for brides and other clients are either totally designed by myself and/or the bride at the time of consultation or an adaptation of a cake they have seen either on line or in a book or magazine. It is in no way an attempt to copy someone elses work. I try to make their dream of the perfect cake come true.
I have been baking for many years, the decorating of cakes was mostly homestyle when my children were in school, for birthdays and bake sales. I fell in love with decorating when my daughter's fiancee and I went out to order their wedding cake. I decided to learn how to do that, it was 15 years ago and the rest is history. I learned from Wilton classes, Colette Peters (NYC),and Sue McMahon (UK) , Nicholas Lodge, and numerous other instructors in the cake decorating world. I have an extensive collection of books that cover all aspects of cake decorating and flower making etc. which I use often to bring about a unique design. Besides how they look, they taste wonderful. Often the cakes are infused with flavors from liqueurs and flavorings that bring more intense flavor out of the cakes. |
